YOU HAVE ALL IT TAKES TO LEAD OGUN, OGUN CENTRAL LEADERS TELLS SPEAKER ADEKUNBI

The Leaders in Ogun Central today assured the Speaker of the State Assembly who is also a leading contestant for Ogun 2019 gubernatorial seat Rt Hon Prince Surajudeen Ishola Adekunbi of their support, banking on his experience, dexterity in governance and legislature plus ability and capability to hold the House without rancour for 6 years running; a feat considered as its first in the history of the State.
The leaders said this while hosting Rt Hon Surajudeen Ishola Adekunbi who was on a consultative visit to the leaders of APC, Ogun Central Senatorial District at the APC Party Secretariat, Abeokuta. Various leaders who addressed the entourage and other leaders present said its only those who began the journey of the mission to rebuild is worthy of succeeding the incumbent, Sen Ibikunle Amosun.

While addressing the mammot crowd that welcomed him as well as the leaders, the Speaker appreciated the Governor and leaders from Ogun Central for supporting Ogun West openly most especially the Governor, Sen Ibikunle Amosun. He said he has come to declare his intention while seeking for their support in actualizing his dream. He assured the leaders of not compromising in his humility, service to the state and assurance of a listening ear. He furthered to tell them his mission is to consolidate the rebuilding mission which he was an integral part having learnt the nitty gritty of governance from the incumbent. According to the Speaker, he said various names are been used to disrepute the Assembly as rubber stamp, pliable and many others but to him and his colleagues, it is better to bury ones egocentric desires for the socioeconomic development of the State which is for the betterment of the larger populace.
Chief Doja Adewolu in his words appealed to the Leaders present to trust Adekunbi Ishola, eulogizing his family traits and background. Also Alhaji Abidoye Amosun showered encomiums on the Speaker over the support and ability to hold firm the unity of the house which has in turn led to the unprecedented achievement recorded so far in the Amosun led administration; he said he is not surprise that he is commanding great respect liking him to a soldier who has shown his might after arriving from a war front.

In his words, the National Financial Secretary of APC, Alhaji Bello said he has no doubt in the competency of Adekunbi urging him to keep the tempo going; he urged the people of Ogun West to put their house in order and key behind a credible and known candidate, also urging them to vote overwhelmingly for their own child during election. The Chairman of the party Alh Lamboye, in his words said everyone has the right to contest and the party will ensure the best among the contestant is chosen in a free and fair modus. He gave the Speaker a go ahead to consult leaders and party members in the Senatorial district having paid homage to the leaders which to him as shown that the Speaker is politically groomed.
Speaking on behalf of the Assembly Members from the Senatorial District, the Deputy Speaker, Hon Taiwo Olakunle Oluomo, reiterated the support the house members especially members from the central senatorial district have for the Speaker’s ambition. He pleaded with the leaders present to support, endorse and ensure a man who has been tutored and who partook in the various success story recorded so far is given the chance come 2019 in whom Suraj Adekunbi fits in; assuring them never to disappoint them.
In his appraisal Engr Ademefun reassured the leaders despite being among them to pitch their tent behind Surajudeem Adekunbi who he described as a fellow Engineer and who will build more on the foundation of Ibikunle Amosun.

Before the closure of the memorable event, leaders representing each of the 6 Local Government that make up Ogun Central in one voice assured the Speaker of their unflinching support.
Other notable personalities present are Hon Oyedeji Ganiyu, Hon Ademonsun, Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Former Transition Committee Chairmen, Former Councillors and present, Chairmen of Local Government and LCDAs and their Vice, Ogun West Leaders, Ogun East leaders and many others.
