Ogun State local government and LCDA Election has come and gone but permutations and lobbies to fill appointment positions are on top gear.
As events unfold, the below faces are to be keenly watchedout for to make waves especially playing prominent roll in the build up for 2019 general election in the gateway state.
Otenuga Ayokunle; a former supervisor at Ijebu Ode local government between 2012-2015. He vied for the position of house of assembly in Ifelodun LCDA but lost to the incumbent as he stepped down. Information flying around is that he could be compensated as a supervisor for willingly steeping down then. He is likely to enjoy the favour of his erstwhile god brother, Tola Banjo (Hon) and Dare Kadiri (Hon).
Hon Mustapha aka Toshiba was a former councillor representing Ward 09 in the 2012-2015 local government administration. He recently lost a return ticket to a new political breed in his ward. He is fervently considered to be the Secretary to the LCDA. He enjoys the favour of his godfather, Barr Bayo Adesegun to clinch the seat.
Olukunle Onamade, known for his political vigour in ward 08. He is been rooted to clinch the position of the Secretary of the LCDA. He has in recent time been promised but often time circumstances does not favour. Hopefully he will scale through this time around. He is enjoying the support of Dare Kadiri (Hon) and Alhaja Princess Adetola Kadiri.
Femi Nuberu; he was a former supervisor in the last executive regime of INLG under Otunba Oshifeso (pressy). He showed interest in being the pioneer chairman of the LCDA but stepped aside willingly. In recent times he is having issues surrounding his clinching a political position but hopeful to get either the SLG or a Supervisor at least.
Toba Kadiri, a grassroot politician, a former consultant to Ijebu North LG 2012-15. He is the younger brother to Dare Kadiri(Hon). He is been rooted to clinch a special advisory position. He enjoys the favour of his brother and mother ( Alhj Adetola Kadiri)
Samuel Oladipupo; also a former cconsultantwho filled the vacuum for the Late Sanusi Tajudeen (Tasco). He contested for the councillorship seat but lost to the Mrs Mosunmola Osiyemi a die hard SIA Loyalist. It is flying round that a supervisory position will be used to compensate his efforts for the party. He also enjoys the support of Dare Kadiri and Alhaja Tola Kadiri.
IJEBU NORTH CENTRALCENTRAL
Okunola Taofeek: presently a local government exco of APC in Ijebu North LG. It is likely he gets considered for a consultant position. He also throws his hat in d ring to contest as a councillor but fail to get a nomination form after wide consultation. He is likely to enjoy the backing of Dr Ipaye Babatunde.
Abeeb Adewale: Keenly contested for the position of a Councillor but lost to Oduntan Seyi. He is been rooted to get a special assistant position if scaled through according to our sources. He is likely to enjoy the backing of Otunba Laide Osifeso and Ipaye Babatunde (Asiwaju).
Owolabi Blakky; a staunch supporter of the former candidate for APC Biyi Ismail in the 2015 general election. He as of today lost his chance to clinch the Vice Chairmanship ticket but hopeful to get a supervisory position. He enjoys the backing of Biyi Ismail from Ijebu East and Barr Bayo Adesegun.
Lamina Bola; also known as EYE, a former special adviser in the 2012-15 administration. He is believed to have the support of majority of his ward exco to clinch the seat of a supervisor. He naturally enjoys the support of Barr Adesegun Bayo and leaders of the ward.
Olabode Durojaiye: A graduate and a staunch progressive member who was born into politics. He is the present youth leader of ward 07 Oru-Awa-Ilaporu. Loved by almost all the ward members for his political mobilization skill. He has been denied severally political position due to unfavourable circumstances. He was expected to clinch the Vice Chairmanship seat but lost out the battle. He is believed to be compensated with the SLG position of the LCDA. It is believed that he enjoys the favour of Dr Ipaye Babatunde, Alh Banjo, Alh Ekelojumati Mojeed and Dare Kadiri.
Saheed Banjo: A former supervisor 2012-15, he lost out in the battle for vice chairmanship to another ward. He is likely setting to clinch the supervisory position or SLG. He enjoys according to our sources the favour of his Dad Alh Banjo (Party Lg Chairman) and Hon Adebayo Adekoya (INLG Chairman).
IJEBU IGBO WEST LCDA
Ogunnowo Mayowa; a former domestic P.A to the former transition committee chairman of INLG, Alh Mojeed Oladele Ekelojumati, a staunch supporter of the present Chairman Adegoke Adekanmbi. He contested and won the councillorship primaries but power brokers rooted him out. He is believed to get a supervisory or special advisory position in the LCDA. He enjoys the benevolence of his former boss, Ekelojumati, Dr Ipaye Babatunde, Adekanmbi Adegoke and Pa Ogunnowo his ward Chairman.
Adebajo Tunde; a strong member of APC. The incumbent deputy youth Leader of the party at local government level. He also contested for the councillorship seat but lost out. He is likely to clinch the Special advisory position in the nearest month. He enjoys the favour of Otunba Biyi Durojaiye and Adebayo Adekoya.
Ogunyemi Olufemi:aka Alaworan, the present Secretary of the party. It is in the air that he might have been penciled down for a supervisory position having served the party deligently. He also have the backing of Sen Biyi Durojaiye.
Osifuwa Ayodeji: a former deputy leader of the legislative council. He is likely to get a support for the SLG of his LCDA, a chance many gladiator believed is very slim. If lost the chance, it might be difficult for him to get any other.
Ilesanmi Quamal: a progressive to the core. He has been contesting for a councillorship post but losing out to power brokers. He is tagetted to get a special assistant position in the nearest days. He enjoys the backing of many ward members including the Chairman Hon Adekanmbi Adegoke.
Pastor Ogundero Bisi: a former special assistant to INLG Chairman Otunba Osifeso. He comtested but lost the coumcillorship position to Arole Kunle, He was the coordinator for Dapo Abiodun in his ward during the senatorial battle for the red chamber. He is rooted to get a supervisory seat in his ward. He is enjoying the backing of Dr Ipaye Babatunde.
Gbenga Banjo: a former Councillor, believed to have the support of his godfather, Otunba Biyi Durojaiye. He is likely pencilled to get a nod as a supervisor. He also contested for chairmanship seat but stepped down.
IJEBU NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Ismail Sansa: A former House of Assembly Member during Olusegun Osoba’s tenure in 1999. He is likely to get the position of SLG of the council as pencilled down by some leaders. He is according to our sources enjoying the backing of Sen Biyi Durojaiye and Dr Ipaye Babatunde.
Ismail Salau Tubosun: aka b-black. A graduate of Tasued. He was the former P.A to the SLG of Ijebu north local government Hon Adekoya Adebayo between 2012-15. He contested for the councillorship seat but lost to Adebanjo Olatunji. He is rooted to clinch a special advisory or assistant seat. He enjoys the backing of Hon Adebayo Adekoya.
Osifeso Korede; aka remedy. A progressive minded politician having contested a a councillor during the 2003 councillorship during AD political administration but lost during the polls. He is likely to get the SLG position. He is mostly favoured by his blood brother, Otunba Osifeso Olaide and Dr Ipaye Babatunde.
Talabi Ayodeji: a former P.A to the former Chairman of the council Alh Ekelojumati Mojeed. He is likely to get a suoervisory or special advisory position. He enjoys the backing of his boss, Alh Ekelojumati Mojeed Oladele and Dr Ipaye Babatunde.
Olatoye Kolawole: a former SLG of the transition committee 2011-2012. He is likely to clinch with the support of Barr Adesegun and Bayo Adekoya the position of SLG of the council. A barrister by profession.
Adedapo David: a member of Ogun media for SIA, chief media officer for INLG, former political appointee of the council in the 2012-15 administration. He also doubles as the media aid to Otunba Osifeso Olaide. He was co-opted as the acting Special assistant to the transition committee chairman on media and publicity Alh Ekelojumati Mojeed. He is widely known for his dexterity in news edia and strong letters, he acts as a media officer for Dr (Asiwaju) Ipaye Babatunde. A masters degree holder. It is of no doubt that if he clinched a supervisory seat as been penciled, he will be in charge of the information department of the council. He enjoys the backing of Dr Ipaye Babatunde, Otunba Augustine Talabi, Mojeed Oladele Ekelojumati, Alh Sulaiman Ayinde, Adekanmbi Adegoke.
