Ijebu North local government has been stratumed into four areas councils namely; Ijebu North, Ijebu Igbo West, Ijebu North Central and Ago Iwoye respectively.
Ijebu North; Contenders for the number one seat are; Hon Kola Olatoye a former transition committee secretary between 2011-2012, Dr Kazeem Taofik the present secretary of the transition committee of Ijebu North LG, Otunba Olaide Oshifeso a former Chairman of the council, Hon Bayo Adekoya a one time secretary of the council between 2012-2015 and also the candidate of APC for the house of assembly seat in Ijebu Igbo constituency.
Ijebu Igbo West; It is one of the newly created LCDA with only one aspirant for the seat. Mr Adekanmbi Adegoke born in Abonyi Atikori. He was a formal regional manager at the Mainstream bank, he was an aspirant under APC for the seat of the house of assembly in the last general election. Amebohotnews gathered that elders and leaders in the LCDA were able to persuade other contestant shreat their ambition for peace to reign.
Ijebu North Central; another newly created LCDA, it has two major contender, Hon Adefisan Adesola a former special adviser on education,information and sport in Ijebu North LG between 2012-2015 and a former transition committee chairman between 2011-2012, Barrister Olakunle Ogunlana.
Ago Iwoye; the LCDA is a battle ground between Messrs Oduniyi Adelaja Abolaji (BeHappy) an accountant, hotelier and oil magnate and Busura Ayodele Bush an auditor and fellow member of chartered accountants.
Who wears the crown in each local government, who will contend with the opposition parties, who will sit on the throne of governance?
