Amebohotnews was reliably informed that the Local Government Chairman Alh. Mojeed Oladele Ekelojumati, Sen Biyi Durojaye, Chief Segun Olusanya, Prof Ayo Ogunye, Dr Babatunde Ipaye and some other notable elders in the ancient town are puting all hands on deck to ensure speedy enthronement on the vacant stool.
Ijebu Igbo had her last King Oba Sami Adetayo (Kupade IV) 22years ago; the late Oba passed on during the agitation for the June 12,1993 mandate of Late sage, Bashorun MKO Abiola, since then it has been from one legal court to another.
Filling of the vacant throne had caused holistic deprivation of developmental projects, chaos and also shifting of age group celebration to Ijebu Ode.
The Governor of Ogun State, Sen Ibikunle Amosun had in the year 2012 appealed to both factions of the ruling house to soften the peddal of litigation by withdrawing the case from Supreme Court. He assured the people that immediately both warring factions settled out of court, he will without delay speedily conduct the enthronement.
