Ogun LCDA: Referendum to be conducted in only 5 LCDAs

Ogun State House of Assembly has with immediate effect directed Ogun State Independent electoral Commission (OGSIEC) to conduct referendum for 5 Local Council development areas Out of 37 LCDAs proposed to be created by the State government.

These 5 LCDAs were not part of the LCDAs created in 2002 by Chief Olusegun Osoba’s led administration  in the cause of the last referendum conducted by this electoral body.

The LCDAs are: Abeokuta North East LCDA with its headquarters at Ita-Iyalode, Sango-Ijoko LCDA   with headquarters at Sango, Coker-Ibogun LCDA with its headquarters at Ibogun, Afon LCDA with its headquarters at Oloka-Afon and lastly, Ifesowapo LCDA with its headquarters at Imodi. 

The house Of Assembly expects feedbacks from OGSIEC in the next two weeks while the honourable members also directed the transition Chairmen of the affected local government areas to forward resolutions of the various communities in the 5 Local Council development areas to the Assembly.
